API RP 2D CRANE OPERATOR Course Outline

This 10 hour Course complies with API RP 2d current Edition required by the BSEE & USCG for crane operation. Training is required every 4 years. Students receive manuals and required forms. Physical qualifications evaluation (vision, depth perception, etc.) is included in course. An extensive hands on evaluation involving numerous hand on exercises will be covered during the course. Students will complete the morning session which will consist of a Rigger course (RP 2D current ed.) to sit for crane operator training. See attached Rigger training course. This course is approved under the API Training Provider Certification Program.

17.    Hands On Evaluation- Personnel are given a proficiency evaluation regarding operating technique in making simple lifts in various types of scenarios, rigging and signaling practice as well.
